Repentance not necessary

A friend recently read Michelle Malkin's book Culture of Corruption about Obama. I had an interesting argument with him about it. I think the argument is over, but I am not yet finished with Malkin.

She recently appeared on the Hannity show, furious that Obama had apologized for the U.S.'s past conduct.

How can I describe what they said? Stupid? Imperialistic? Perhaps uncharitable would be the best word, because it spit in the face of Christ's teachings.

Hannity confessed that he worships Satan. Or rather, he worships the idol of democracy with a reverence for Satan's tactics.

HANNITY: "But, you know, he [Obama] says democracy cannot be imposed on any nation from outside. He goes on to say -- he said, and the United States of America will never waver in our attempts to stand up for the right of people to determine their own destiny.

I thought it was America's belief, our founding document believes that we're endowed by our creator and that we're
that human beings are designed to be free. But he's saying no, no, we're not going to force our values on you. And I found that almost shocking to me."

Forcing our values on others is not an American value, it is a neoconservative value (these links contain some lengthy reading).

They revealed their willingness to ignore America's past sins. They want them forgotten without the necessary steps of repentance (Christian view here and LDS view here):

HANNITY: "I want a president, I think most Americans want a president that's going to tell the world, celebrate our goodness, our charity, our generosity, our advancement of the human condition, the cause of freedom.

And I'm watching him today, and I just felt like once again he's pandering to the worst regimes and thugs and dictators around the world.

Do you think that it's -- does he want to be liked? Does he want to be accepted? Does he want to be the world's president? Why?"

Having established that it is unnecessary for the U.S. to repent, Malkin then argues that our enemies cannot repent. Forgiveness for them is impossible, and they will never have a change of heart.

MALKIN: "Those who hate us will always hate us. And while there may be momentary tittering and applause for these pandering lies, the hatred for America is never going to go away. And that's something that Barack Obama and his hard left ideologue friends and allies will never, ever understand."

Thank you, Malkin, for admitting that Jesus is on the hard left, and Obama's friend.

"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you" - Matt. 5:44.

I first read that scripture when I was 17, and it hit me like a revelation. I hadn't ever considered such conduct. I know that if the U.S. lived up to its boast of being a Christian nation by actually living according to Christ's teachings, that the hearts of our enemies would be softened, and many of them would no longer hate us.

For those of you who do not know why America needs to repent.

  1. Why do they mock a world without nuclear weapons? Seriously?

And why does Hannity continue to pretend to be a credible newsman. He is an entertainer. And this woman is lying to sell books.
