How Wall Street Owns You
We work all our lives for someone else.
You have to go to school to make money, so you take out a loan from the bank to pay the school, and you are in debt to the bank.
Then you have to buy a house to raise your family, so you take out a loan to pay the home owner, and you are in debt to the bank.
There are other things you want to buy, a car to get to work, other goods to make life worth living. So you get a loan, or use your credit card. And you are in debt to the bank.
Then you get sick of your job and want to be your own boss, so you take out a loan to start a company. And you are in debt to the bank.
Every day you go to work for someone else. You put in a good day's labor, but you don't get to keep what you make. A big portion of your money will go to those who own you, until you are too old and worn to work anymore.
It is a pretty good system. We are happy slaves.
And others profit from our work, because they have money. They do not need to work. That is our job.
