The President for McCain
The President wants McCain to win. SNL has made fun of this, and McCain has tried to distance himself from Bush, and rightly said: "I am not President Bush."
But the most powerful man in the world wants McCain to win. And here's one way he could do it:
He could scare the hell out of us.
In the week before the 2004 election Kerry was cocky-sure he was going to win. That Friday, Osama bin Laden released another tape. Voters peed themselves and voted Bush.
That smells dirty. Either a Bushite did it, or Osama did. Either way, they wanted the same thing.
I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened this year, or even worse. A McCain adviser said that a terrorist attack would be a good thing for McCain.
The White House has a monopoly on intelligence. They could have bin Laden tapes we've never seen. They could re-edit old footage and release a 'new' tape.
I predict that if a terrorist attack happens before the election, whoever is responsible wants McCain to win.
