Hitler's U.S. Tour

Some have compared Obama to Hitler. Both were good speakers, for example. And others (Bush) have raised fears of another holocaust.

I'm going to say something shocking:

Hitler did not kill the Jews.

Before you accuse me of being an anti-semite, read the next line:

Normal, everyday German citizens killed the Jews.

That's right. Average Joe "sixpack" Deutschlander killed the Jews. The mobs who had come to believe that foreigners and their foreign religion was destroying their great nation lashed out against minorities.
The kind of mobs that go to Sarah Palin speeches and shout "terrorist" and "kill him." The kind of people who don't trust black people, the "other race." The kind of people who are afraid of the name Hussein. The kind of people who are scared of Muslims.

There were average Germans who were like our average Americans. Germans who didn't trust Jews. Germans who were afraid that the Jews were ruining their country.

Average people in fear made the holocaust possible.

We have nothing to fear but fear itself.

Because, like Yoda said: "Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."
