Conservative pundits have inspired some of their nut-job listeners to murder. Most recently Richard Poplawski killed three police officers . He was a Glenn Beck fan, and posted Beck's videos on his own website. I'm sure Beck did not intend this, and will distance himself from this event. But he should take it as a sign that he needs to be more careful about what he says. If you go on TV, and make irrational claims that communists and fascists have taken over our country, and use negative emotional rhetoric, you have to expect an irrational, emotional response. My advise would be to use more positive emotional appeals, like humor, rather than fear. Otherwise we can expect more conservative nut jobs to keep killing people.
