McCain's Broken Promise

Hey Mike, (I think I need to rename this blog "Hey Mike."), here's a video of McCain promising to run a clean campaign. Watch 1.26 to 1.56. You mentioned earlier that you were frustrated that Obama had pledged to go clean and then he went dirty. McCain broke his promise. I don't think that Obama has . Mike , This blog is very radical. It is a response to radical Republicans. Not all Republicans are radical. Not all are racist. Not all are uninformed. That is an excellent point to keep in mind. Some, however, are: This blog is to combat such extremism by making people aware. link

First Impressions

My father-in-law said he watched the debates. I thought "Excellent," and tapped my fingers together. He said they made him think Palin would be a fresh start in Washington. I vomited silently into the back of my throat, swallowed, and said, "Oh." I mentioned before that my in-laws were undecided between McCain and Obama. But when McCain chose Palin, they knew they had their lady, even though they knew nothing about her. Now that we do know something , that initial impression still holds strong. Dave, sorry I didn't say anything at the time. Hope this post doesn't offend you. We'll talk before November 4th.

Eating Pork

My sister owned a pet pig. She said it was way smart, smarter than any dog she had ever owned. It made me think that perhaps the commandment against eating pork was given for the pig's sake. Kindhearted men have affection for animals, how much more so does God.

Beautiful baby boy

My brother's wife gave birth to her first baby. I am an uncle of a baby so beautiful, and yet so similar in features to my gnarly-looking brother. She carried him for nine months, then her water broke on Super Tuesday. It was eight in the morning and the first thing she said was "We have to vote." My brother laughed and took her to the hospital. He then went to cast his vote for Barack Obama. He labored for over twelve hours to bring that boy into the world. He's a little thing. But he's got big hands, and big feet. Big for a baby. He curls up into the size of a football, and means more to us than winning the Super Bowl. He is helpless, he is wonderful. She will nurse him and coo him to bed for months. They will change countless diapers and feed him spoonful by spoonful, until he grows strong enough to feed himself. They will cheer and laugh when he struggles to take his first steps. They will teach him everything they know, and he will ask questions ...
