How to Lose an Election in Utah

This guy isn't stupid, he's just foreign. Doesn't get the nuances of local politics. Apparently he ran for office in South America (Peru?), won, but then the government was overthrown. So he fled the country and came to Utah, and ran for office here.
Two reasons he'll lose:
1. He advertises that he's a Democrat. That costs him the Republicans, which is like 90% of the vote.
2. He says he's for McCain. That costs him any Democrats that might have voted for him.

Oops.
