McCain is a terrorist. Iran is a Democracy
Bombing Iran would be a mistake, one John McCain wants to make.
Iranians, like Americans, cherish freedom. Their people united in revolutions three times in the last century.
The first revolution, in 1905, was hijacked by the Russians.
The second revolution, in 1953 was hijacked by the United States. The U.S. assassinated their leader, and installed a dictator, the Shah.
I stated in an earlier blog that we are very much like Russia.
The third revolution of 1979 was hijacked by religious extremists, the Ayatollah Khomeini.
U.S. leaders were upset at the overthrow of the Shah, and decided to not be friends any longer with Iran.
Current U.S. leaders, especially Dick Cheney, think it a good idea to bomb Iran. We know that Iranians want freedom, so the reasoning goes, if we bomb the hell out of Iran, the Iranian people will rise up and overthrow the tyrannical government.
False.
If we bomb Iran, they will cling to their government for safety, just as we did after 9/11.
Democracy is sprouting in Iran. It is the largest democracy in the Middle East. True, their democracy leaves much wanting, but things are changing, and with time, they will be as strong of allies as Israel.
We need to let it bloom. If we bomb them, we will destroy the hope of democracy in the Middle East.
This Muslim is a secret American.
