Too much of a Democrat

I think I've let myself become to much of a Democrat. The two-party system makes it so easy to think within the box, and to side with someone who mostly agrees with you.

I'm tired of taking sides. I think both sides are retarded.

I sided with Democrats so much this election, because the Republican offering in the national election was a joke. If I had known nothing of McCain's past, is honorable service, his clear-headedness, his ability to work with Democrats and Republicans, I would have thought he was a joke. I don't know who his speech writers were, or who planned his election strategy, but they turned a decent man and a good politician into a farce. He should have won in 2000.

And don't get me started on Sarah Palin.

And change needs to come to Utah. The Republican hegemony is ruining this state. I don't know if the best way to do that would be to remain a Democrat, to bring in some outside opposition; or to do what Gov. Huntsman has and be a Republican, but think outside of party dogma.

I agree with Howard Zinn, that the two party system gives release to the rebellious fervor of the masses without bringing any real change.

And with Noam Chomsky, who argues that real debate never enters the media. (Hope I'm paraphrasing you right, Noam. You're kind of long-winded).
